SHERWOOD pulled of an amazing comeback in their Harrogate Premier League encounter with Kirk Deighton fighting back from 3-0 down after 15 minutes to walk away with a 5-3 triumph.
Sean Latimer started the fightback for the Starbeck outfit before Craig Logan struck just before the interval.

In the second-half Sherwood dominated but were knocked back when player/manager Kevin Kingston was sent off.

However the ten men show
ed grit to level proceedings through Craig Robinson before the same player struck again with a tremendous shot that hit the roof of the Deighton net 20-yards out.

Dion Surr then made it 5-3 with a sweet strike with the outside of his right foot that capped a wonderful comeback.

Meanwhile SPA ATHLETIC started brightly against Westbrook and were on the front foot from the outset.

Westbrook had to wait until the 20th minute before they had their first meaningful attack but it was worth waiting for as a deep cross rebounded off a Spa defender and into the path of the only Westbook player in the box who tapped into an empty net.

The second half started just the same as the first with Spa piling on the pressure but again found it difficult to breech the ten man Westbrook defence.

Efforts were raining in on goal with Ben Jones, Stu Gambles and Andy Emmett all going close before the death however they eventually ended on the losing side.
