Cricket: Rain washes out weekend action

RAIN has once again decimated the weekend's local cricket programme.
Action across the board from the Yorkshire League to the Nidderdale League forced a host of cancellations, all Aire Wharfe matches rained off too.

In the Wetherby League, wins were awarded to Sherburn in Division Three and Scarcroft A in Division Five after Kippax A and Oulton A both failed to raise teams.

Harrogate CC will be hoping for better fortune on the East Coast today when they visit Scarborough in the Yorkshire League.

Alne CC and Masham CC are set to contest the Nidderdale League Atkinson Swires Cup at Alne today, proving the rain can hold off.
