BILTON skipper Carl Heptinstall has vowed to bounce back tomorrow when his side travel to Adel after Saturday's disastrous showing (1pm start).
North Leeds sent an embarrassed Bilton packing at the weekend, bowling out the hosts for a paltry 49.

However the going was far from easy in reply with Leeds losing four wickets and now the skipper is hoping to harness that fighting spirit and use it tomorrow.

“It was not a great wicket with all the poor weather we have been having and the toss has been essential in all our games so far this season but we didn't help ourselves,” added Heptinstall.

“I have to praise us though for our fighting spirit in the second half as we didn't give it up at any stage and with that spirit on Saturday and a possible winning of the toss we should bounce straight back.”

BECKWITHSHAW captain Charlie Lister has revealed he is looking forward to their head on collision at home to leaders Guiseley tomorrow (1pm), in particular the clash with opposition captain Dave Pennett.

The former Harrogate skipper and Aussie Dean Russ have been in devastating form in the first three games and Lister knows his team are in for a difficult afternoon.

But with his side just two points behind the West Yorkshiremen ‘Shaw could be sitting top of the Division One tree on Saturday night with a victory.

“At the start of the season Guiseley were my pick to be there or there abouts,” said Lister.

“They’re a good side and we know all about the threats they pose, but we’re a good side too and there’s no reason why we can’t go out and beat them.”

On Saturday ‘Shaw were again struck down by bogey side Burley after bowling Nick Brook’s men out for just 129 thanks to James Lilley (3-27) and Paul Thompson (5-22).

However despite being 65-1 at drinks ‘Shaw collapsed to hold on for two points on 112-9.

Meanwhile on Sunday the side easily beat Harome to move through to the next round of the Village Knockout.

Batting first Steve Walmsley top scored with a fine 106 as ‘Shaw made 210, which proved too much for Harome’s 120.

In Division B KNARESBOROUGH captain Adam Pryor is looking for an immediate return to form when they travel to Calverley tomorrow.

‘Boro’ were guilty of throwing away an almost certain six-points at home to Bardsey last week after bowling out the away side for just 131, Tom Metcalf (4-20) and Neil Marshall (5-51) taking the wickets.

However ‘Boro’ came unstuck in reply slipping to 59 all out, Dale Tormey the only batsman of note with 27.

“To put it into perspective we’ve played well for five out of six halves of cricket so far this season,” said Pryor.

“We didn’t bat well on Saturday and we knew that.
