RBL: The wartime memorabilia exhibition during the Nidderdale festival was a great success, resulting in over five hundred pounds in donations going to the British Legion Home at Lister House Ripon. Many thanks to all who supported this event, thanks also to Pateley Club for the use of the premises, and thanks to our friend in the High Street jewellers for having his 1940s jeep on show in the High Street on Saturday which raised much interest.
Pateley Bridge Dance Club: The dance held last Friday in aid of the Memorial Hall raised £246 and the club would like to thank all who supported or helped at the event. The club will be holding a dance tomorrow, Saturday August 9 at Pateley Bridge Me

Pateley Bridge WI: Pateley Bridge WI invite you to enjoy an evening of music and laughter with Ken Humphreys on Thursday August 14 at 7.30 pm in the Upstairs Lounge of the Pateley Club. Everyone welcome.

Flower Festival: Bewerley Grange Chapel flower festival will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend, August 23, 24, 25. Open 11am-5pm daily. Admission free, donations towards the upkeep of the chapel are very welcome.
As part of the festival there is the opportunity to commemorate a loved one. By making a donation to the cost of the flowers, as much or as little as you can afford, your loved one’s name will be included in a Commemorative Roll which will be displayed during the festival. Writers’ Group: The Nidderdale Writers’ Group is an informal small group of people interested in creative writing in all forms and genres. They plan what to do each week with ideas contributed from members, e.g. writing exercises, readings from members current work, general discussions on various aspects of writing.
They meet at 1-3pm on most Wednesday afternoons in Pateley Bridge. There is a very small annual fee to join. If you are interested or require more information contact Lesley Pemberton 01423 712063.

Wilsill Methodist Church Holy Communion with the Rev Greg Warren 11am. Wath Chapel Holy Communion with the Rev Greg Warren 6.30pm. At the Roman Catholic churches Sunday Mass will take place at 10.30am at Pateley and at 9.15am at Menwith Hill.
Parent and Toddler: Glasshouses Parent and Toddler group meets every week during term time at Glasshouses Primary School, starting from 1.45pm until 3.15pm. £1 per parent. Come and join us for lots of fun!
FrogHoppers: FrogHoppers Pre-School Playgroup (which is situated behind St Cuthberts Primary School) has sessions available for pre-school children age 2 years and over. FrogHoppers runs only Monday to Friday 9am-12.15pm at £7 per session.
