FATHERS were given the chance to play with their children at Sunflowers Day Nursery in Pateley Bridge during a special dads' day.
The nursery opened its doors to let the youngsters show their parents around the nursery and the dads had the opportunity to paint, play in the sand and make and sail boats with their children.

The morning was finished off with a story in the baby room and all dads were given a goody bag to take away with ideas of rainy day activities.

Nursery manager Heather said: “We had 10 dads and a grandad come to the nursery to visit and we had a great time. The dads had the chance to see the nursery in action and try out some activities and the children really enjoyed having their dads here. They still talk about it when they look at photos taken on the day.

“Some dads said they had tried activities with their children they had never tried before – it was lovely to see everyone so busy and involved.”
