Dacre Banks Pre-School Playgroup: Dacre Banks Pre-School Playgroup has now closed for the Summer break. We would like to thank all parents/carers for the kind support over the past 12 months and convey our best wishes to all the children who will be leaving us to embark on their new journey at school. The Playgroup re-opens on Tuesday September 2 at 0930.
Exhibition: The Art Collective Summer Exhibition is currently on at The Exhibition Room, Brimham Rocks, Summerbridge till September 30, 11am-4.30pm daily. Featuring new work by local artists Jane Carlisle, Fran Payne, Stefania Romaniak and others.
Perk–u–Up: The next Perk-u-up coffee morning at Summerbridge Methodist Church will be on Saturday August 30, between 10.30am-12pm. Everyone is welcome to call in for some refreshment and a chat. There will be tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits.

Holy Trinity News: This years Parish Garden Party is on Sunday August 31 at the vicarage, after 11m Holy Communion Service at Holy Trinity.

Yoga Classes: Yoga classes at Christ Church Community Centre, Darley every Wednesday 1.30-3.15pm. £5.50 per session (Pay in advance for 4 sessions). For details and to book a place contact Brenda 07807 749 273 or Angela 780056.

Church Services: This Sunday, August 10 there will be the following church services to which all are very welcome: Nidderdale Evangelical Free Church, Brow Chapel, Thornthwaite 4pm.

Providence United Reformed Church, Dacre Top 9.30am with Mr J Tilbury. Holy Trinity Church, Dacre Banks Holy Communion, 11am. Summerbridge Methodist Church – All-age Worship with Morag Waterfield at 10.30am. Darley Methodist Church Mrs M King at 10.30am.

Mobile Library: Hartwith Wednesday August 13. Summerbridge/Dacre Thursday August 14. Darley Friday August 22. If you have any queries about the service please phone 0845 0349580.

Fewston Refreshments: On Sunday August 10 Holy Trinity Church, Dacre Banks, will be providing refreshments at Fewston Parochial Hall from 11.00am. Any contributions of cakes, scones and quiches would be most acceptable.

If anyone can help on the day please contact Angela 780056 or Ann 780495. Sandra Bradley will be there providing refreshments in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research on Bank Holiday Monday August 25.

Dacre Banks Cricket Club: Tomorrow, Saturday August 9, the second 11 team will be playing at home to South Kilvington. The club would like to thank everyone who supported their hog roast and duck race over the weekend of July 26/27. The winning numbers in the duck race were: 1. 409, 2. 571, 3. 293, 4. 937, and 5. 631.

Darley Donkey Derby: It’s like Ascot, but not as posh! The Darley Donkey Derby takes place on Saturday September 27 at 7.30 pm at the Memorial Hall. Come ready for a flutter as the steeds gear up for a race night to remember!

Tickets cost £10 and include hot meal, puddings and tea/coffee. A bar will be available, as well as Lucky Horseshoes! Proceeds to be split between CCCC and the Darley School Playground Appeal. Book ASAP as tickets are selling fast.
