10 year celebrations: Or if classical music is not to your taste and you fancy shaking a leg, a Hog Roast and Dance is to be held to mark the opening of Kettlesing Millennium Village Hall nearly 10 years ago on the same evening, Saturday, July 4 at 8pm. Music will be provided by Dansette. It is hoped that as many people as possible who went along to, or took part in the events which raised money to get the project off the ground will go along to celebrate the magnificent community achievement. Tickets are £12 for adults and £5 for accompanied children and are available from Hampsthwaite Post Office or by ringing Nicola Bellerby on 770568 after 4pm.

Midsummer Madness: Last year’s event was held despite appalling weather. This year, Midsummer Madness took place on a lovely although slightly windy evening last Saturday up at Burnt Yates. Those attending enjoyed an excellent barbecue followed by waist expanding deserts. While there were games, these were more to do with hand to eye co-ordination and not the type which worked off excess supper! The evening was rounded off with a bonfire and the judging of the scarecrow competition which saw Hilda Walmsley carry off the champagne prize. Thanks and congratulations to all those whose hard work made the evening such a success.

Internet Training: This is a new course.
