CHRIS O'Neill, founder member of the renowned Beatles tribute band, The Backbeat Beatles, will play a live acoustic set at The New Inn, Burnt Yates, Harrogate next Thursday.
Chris, who played George Harrison in the acclaimed film Backbeat, recently headlined with his band at The Beatles Day concert, part of the City of Culture celebrations staged at the new Liverpool Echo Arena. His wife Gill, who arranged The Beatles Da
y for CMP Live, is a close friend of Burnt Yates resident Jane Bargh; in November they are trekking together to Machu Picchu in Peru to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Chris and the landlords at The New Inn – Tim and Pauline King – are giving their full support to raise as much as possible for the project.

On Thursday music will start at about 7pm with sets throughout the evening until 11pm. A small auction will be held with lots, including a week’s accommodation in a villa in Florida, a private tour of the Emmerdale set and a case of fine wine. There will also be a raffle and the full dinner menu available.

Entry is free but all donations to the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital will be gratefully accepted.

For donations to the auction and raffle, contact Jane Bargh on 01423 779746 or 07880 747304.
