Brave Lucy to represent county in beauty contest
Lucy Morgan was seriously injured after a bonfire accident in March,suffering burns to 25 per cent of her body including her face.
The former Harrogate Grammar School pupil has now been named as Miss North Yorkshire Galaxy and will compete for the Miss UK Galaxy prize, which includes a trip to the states.

Hide AdShe has said she is delighted to be able to wear the Miss North Yorkshire sash.
She said: “I was so happy when I found out I had been chosen to be Miss North Yorkshire and the judges said some very encouraging comments.”
The 19-year-old will compete in the Miss UK Galaxy final in the new year, which includes a swimwear round.
“I am not going to try and cover up my scars,” said Lucy.
“I think it is important for all young girls to be confident and know that you don’t have to be perfect.”

Hide AdShe added: “I have been very inspired by Katie Piper and would love to do more work with children who have been burnt.”
Lucy is studying medical sciences at Craven College and has started her own foundation, The Phoenix Trust, to raise money for Pinderfields Hospital burns ward.
Firefighters at Harrogate Fire Station recently lent their support to the cause with a fundraising open day which raised£1000 for the hospital.
Lucy is helping to raise awareness of the dangers of bonfires and has filmed a fire safety video which will be shown on ITV next month.
