Collections were called off on Friday and Saturday due to heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures, and any resident whose bin was missed is being asked to leave it out if not collected already.
A council spokesperson said it hopes to collect all outstanding household waste by the end of the week but added staff will not be able to empty outstanding recycling until the next scheduled collection.

"Collections of refuse and recycling due from today (Monday 18 January) onwards are taking place as normal.
"Some household waste collections are still outstanding. Where we can, we will do our best to get to these this week (commencing 18 January). If your refuse bin wasn’t emptied in the week beginning 11 January, please leave it out.
"Unfortunately, any recycling that was still outstanding at the end of Friday 15 January will not be collected until your next scheduled recycling collection date."

If recycling bins are full, overflow waste should be left in a carrier bag or open box, not a black refuse sack.
