A HARROGATE woman has raised more than £900 for Guide Dogs for the Blind, to thank the charity for the help it has given her mother.
Debbie Rankin, who also walks puppies for the charity, organised a fundraising event at Skipton Pub on Skipton Road, including a quiz, a tombola and a raffle.

She said: "My mother has a guide dog and it was just a way of giving something back to the charity, because the government doesn't give them any funding and they do so much good."

The Skipton Pub provided a free supper for everyone taking part, while local shops donated raffle prizes.

The total amount raised was £912.80.
